Mission:
The Friends of the Adair County Public Library are dedicated to supporting the goal of the Adair County Public Library—to provide the best possible library service for all citizens of Adair County.

The functions of the Friends of the Library are subject to the wishes and approval of the Library Board of Trustees and the Library Director.
Duties:
- Serve as liaison to the community
- Encourage donations and bequests
- Fund special needs
- Organize and operate the book sales
- Sponsor book discussion groups
- Sponsor programs
- Support the Children’s Summer Reading Program
- Help publicize Library activities and needs
- Encourage volunteers
- Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization

WHAT WE DO!!!
Books, videos, and CDs are always accepted as donations for the Friends of the Library Book Sales. Feel free to drop off your donation when the Library is open.

Friends of the Library Annual Meeting:
On October 15th, the Friends of the Library gathered for their annual meeting! It was a wonderful evening of collaboration and celebration as we reflected on our achievements and discussed exciting plans for the year ahead. The Friends of the Adair County Library are spreading holiday cheer! Thanks to their generous donation, the Reindeer Holiday Program will be coming to the library on December 14th!

Friends of the Adair County Library gathered to make a big impact on our community’s children! They presented two generous checks to support exciting upcoming events and outreach.
$200 will go toward holiday gifts for children at Christmas for the Holiday Outreach Program, bringing smiles and joy this season.
$1,040 will help us bring a real live reindeer to the library on December 14th—an unforgettable holiday experience for families in our community!
